read more closeEmbark on your raft float and slowly drift down the Tenorio River seeking out some of the country’s fascinating wildlife. With luck, you can spot monkeys, lizards, crocodiles, bats, and birds such as ospreys, boat-billed herons, parrots, kingfishers and many more.
Glide through second growth forest intertwin with rice and sugar cane farms and towering trees that date more than 400 years ago.
Your guide will prepare a picnic snack along the riverbank with fruits, cookies, and water.

Logistics
You are picked up from your hotel or home and taken directly to the start point of the tour by the river – if you need to use the restroom the guide can take you to the office.
You will be given protective gear to fit and wear, a waiver to sign, and a safety briefing before you board the rafts. You will be introduced with your guide who will paddle along the river, point out and explain the scenery, birdlife and wildlife that you encounter.
The guide will prepare a picnic-snack along the riverbanks during the journey.
At the end of the raft, a vehicle will pick you up and bring you to a restaurant where you will have your Costa Rican meal.
After your meal if you feel inspired, our driver will pick you up and take you to a waterfall for you to enjoy and roam around. There is an entrance fee to the waterfall which is not included in the price of the tour.
