The trimaran (a multi-hulled boat) sets sail off the coast searching for whales, dolphins and sea turtles. After about an hour of sailing, the trimaran turns toward Espadilla Beach in a large loop that takes you past Manuel Antonio National Park and Quepos Point. In the meantime, take in the scenery as servers walk around offering fruit and complimentary soda and beer.
The trimaran drops anchor near a rock off the coast of Biesanz Beach, known as the best spot for snorkeling in Manuel Antonio. The staff provides life vests and snorkel gear to venture into a submerged rock where marine wildlife congregates. At certain times of the year, especially in the wet season (May-Nov.), the water can be cloudy making it difficult to see. But you'll still be able to catch a glimpse of some of the fish like the rainbow Cortez, the Sgt. Major fish and the parrotfish.
Sunset Sails serves lunch after the snorkeling, a plate of tilapia, rice and root vegetables, before sailing back to the marina.
