Logistics
Our bilingual driver will pick you up as early as possible and whisk you away on a journey through Costa Rica's dry forest to a quaint ranch at the skirts of the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano outside the town of Liberia
Our driver will drop you off at the ranch’s information desk and help you check in. Then, the ranch will give you the tour start times and the ranch internal shuttle schedule. The ranch has a shuttle that transport you to/from each tour start point inside its ranch. Schedules and tour times change daily depending on the number of people in the ranch and weather conditions. If you arrive before 8 a.m. you will be able to do all the activities at a good pace.
After you are done with the activities our driver will be waiting for you at the ranch’s quarter where he or she dropped you off and bring you back to your hotel.

White River Canyon Zip Line (90 minutes – 120 minutes)

Zoom above the tropical dry forest treetops and zig-zag across White River Canyon's gorges at heights of up to 131 feet, crossing hanging bridges, rappelling down 65-feet (20m) a canyon's wall, rock climbing a part of a gorge wall and Tarzan swinging from one side of the canyon to the other above the river.
Check in at the ranch's information desk 20 minutes before the tour time, suit up in gear with your harness, helmet and gloves. If you are bringing your GoPro camera, request a helmet with a mount.
Your guide leader along with secondary guides will group you with other guests (up to 70 people) and will be with you at the start and end point of each cable so there will always be someone helping you.
You will all round up, hear a brief set of instructions on how to zip line and safety protocol, practice one ride across a mock cable strung between two platforms anchored on two trees.
Once you make it safely from one side to the next, you will walk to the first platform anchored on a tree and start the tour.
Approach the first three cables with an open mind enjoying views of the tropical dry forest and the Rincon de la Vieja's volcano skirts. Next, you will soar through the canyon and go back and forward from one canyon wall to the other one zip lining, Tarzan swinging, crossing hanging bridges, rappelling and rock climbing enjoying the rainforest-draped rock canyon above a gushing river.
Let your guides attached you to a few ropes that will help you rappel down one canyon wall to a platform below and climb back up 65-foot (20 meter) to continue the zip line course. Refresh your rappel and rock-climbing skills going down
The canyon canopy course takes you through three forest-view cables with four platforms anchored on trees and four aerial-canyon-view cables with two hanging bridges, two Tarzan swings, one rappel and one rock climb on 20 platforms (10 perched on rock, three anchored to trees and seven to the ground).

Trot steadily through savannahs, past pasture land into the dry forest jungle trails over small hills to discover canyons, waterfalls, hot springs and rivers. Take in the picturesque views of the country-side landscape and the cowboy feeling in Guanacaste.
Check in at the ranch's information desk to find out which horseback ride tour takes you to the start of the tubing and head to the main ranch's stable – about 10-minute walk - to join other participants (up to 30 people) who will be horseback riding in a group with you.
Meet your Costa Rican cowboy guide who will help you gear up with a helmet and will select your horse based on your experience level, height and weight. Your cowboy guide will give you a brief safety talk, explain to you the basics of horseback riding and ride along with you in the group. Every horse on the ranch is bred, raised, and trained in Guanacaste.
All horseback tours – fit for riders of every skill level - depart from a stable and take you out to a savannah into the dry tropical forest and jungle in the skirts of Rincon de la Vieja Volcano's southern side with little time on public paved roads. Every horseback tour has its own designated trail to follow depending on the start time and destination. Horseback gear provided.
Alambre Trail – 30-to-45-minute horseback ride to Tubing
Tour times in combination with Tubing: 8:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.
Tour length: 30 to 45 minutes
You will ride from the stable through pastures, savannahs and jungle to find a shuttle waiting for you to take you to the start location of your tubing tour.
Chorreras Waterfall Trail - 60-minute horseback ride round trip
Tour departs: 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Tour length: 2 – 2.5 hours
Set on a small, shallow volcanic rock canyon, twin waterfalls (locally known as "Chorreras") plunge into a sky blue mineral water pool where you can cool down and swim or just a take in the feeling of lush surrounding jungle.
The horseback loops from the stable to the Chorreras Waterfalls with a 30 minute break at the falls.
Oropendula Waterfall Trail – 45-minute horseback one way; 90-minute horseback roundtrip
Tour departs: 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Tour length: 2.5 hours
Attraction: Oropendula Waterfall (82 feet (25 meter) tall)
After you arrive to White River Canyon on horseback follow a trail on foot to the river below and continue on the riverbank trail to find the majestic 82-feet Oropendula Waterfall plunging unto a pool where you can swim and relax.
Rio Negro Hot Springs Trail – 2-hour horseback roundtrip
Tour departs: 8 a.m.
Tour length: 4 hours
Upon arrival to the hot spring entrance, you will check in with the hot springs office to enjoy the hot springs and mud-bath for an hour.

Tubing (2 – 3 hours)
Tour times: Choose how you get to the river! - 8:30 a.m. &1:30 p.m. by horseback; 9:20 a.m. and 2:20 p.m. by shuttle

What to wear: swimming suit, quick-dry short and shirt, river shoes, sneakers or strap-on sandals
Glimpse at the small Victoria Fall, hop on a tube raft to drift, rumble and roll on Rio Negro's II and III rapid for three miles (5 km).
Float below towering trees and new-growth dry forest to placid pools as river broadens. Wind through clear white-water rapids building momentum to splash into narrow straits and bounce back and forward into boulders and white water as you breathe in all the pure air of the forest.
The Negro River starts in a fairly easy manner and picks up on rapids II and III gently going downhill on a gradient maneuvering among boulders, over ledges, and through easy drops. A team of tubing guides will be ahead and behind you or wait for you at challenging sections to guide you.
Logistics
Either you will arrive to the tubing center by shuttle or horseback. When you get there you will join a group of no more than 60 participants. Your guides will give you a safety talk and explain to you how to control your tube draft in the river.
Note: River tube rafts are designed with handles and protective bottoms. Changing rooms available upon completion of the journey.
Rio Negro Hot Springs ( 2 - 3 hours)
Location: 3.7 miles (6 km) away from the office center
Access: Any vehicle
Total number of Cement Hot Springs Soaking Pools: 10, set in both sides of the river
Balm your soul and body, after a long day of adventure with heated volcanic mud and soak in hot springs at the riverbanks of Negro River!
Immerse yourself in one of 10 built-up cement soaking pools overlooking the Negro River bellow towering trees in the dry tropical forest. The hot spring pools are fed by natural hot springs water emerging from the Negro River and piped to the pools.
The cement soaking pools are set on both sides of Negro River which runs in between the pool sets. The Negro River has cold water so you can refresh after soaking your body in one of the pools. There are two suspension bridges above the river that are used to cross from one to the other side of the river.
Wrap yourself on an outdoor body-mud mask and lie on the riverbank to dry up. Then, rinse it with fresh river water before getting into the soaking pool.
Logistics
Check in at the hot spring entrance desk. Pick up your locker's key, change your clothes, store your belongings in a locker, get a towel and walk to the soaking pool area in a 382 yards (350 meter) gravel trail.
After a day of adventure pamper yourself to a free volcanic mud body wrap, lie on the riverbanks and take nature in. Or, simply soak your bones in thermal waters and relax
Note: Changing rooms, towels, bathrooms and lockers are available near the hot springs.
