Smell the sea and the air, watch the sky, with a cocktail in hand. Join the Marlin del Rey 66-foot Catamaran to chase wildlife north along the sandy stretches, coves, jagged cliffs and the rocky island jutting out of Tamarindo Bay.
read more closeSet sail and make yourself comfortable with the open bar – natural juices, smoothies are available for kids or adults - and admire from different perspective the coastline of Playa Grande, the sandy coves of Playa Ventanas and Playa Carbon and the rocky cliffs to the end of the Bay, just off Cabo Velaz. The captain will tell you when he or she spots wildlife and he or she will follow whales (Aug.–Oct.) or dolphins, or if you are in luck mating turtles. Passing the tip of the northern bay after the rocky island, the captain will anchor for one and a half hour in front of Playa Real where you can swim, stand up paddle, kayak or snorkel.
Don a mask and snorkel, get a float and swim toward the rocky shore to explore the underground gardens of Playa Real dancing to the currents. Or, get your kayak or stand up paddle board and glide to the shore of the golden brown beach where you can sunbathe. Or, you can just hang-loose relaxing on a board enjoying the views and the open bar.
The crew will prepare a buffet lunch for you including chicken, rice, fried beans, chimichurri, potato chips and more.
After dinner chase the sun as it sinks into the distant horizons of the turquoise waters seeing the changes in the reflections of the sun and the Tamarindo coastline reminding you that you are alive and happy.
Meet the group at the beach where a representative will check you in and a dinghy boat will take you from the beach to the Catamaran anchored on Tamarindo Bay. Once everyone is on board, your host will introduce the crew and the captain to you, get to know your fellow travelers and give you a security talk about emergency procedures. The Captain and crew will attend to your every need.
The catamaran offers covered cabin seating space, a stereo sound system, a net in the bow area of the boat that provides a secure place for sunbathers, and pilothouse seating. Open bar serves mixed drinks with a choice of Absolute Vodka, Jack Daniels Whisky, Cacique Liquor, and mixed fruit smoothies. Mixed drinks are Bloody Mary, Piña Colada, Margarita, Mojito, Capiriña, Miami Vice, Daiquiris ( melon or watermelon), Miguelito, and Whisky Sours.
The available beers are Imperial, Coors and Concha y Toro as well as red and white wine.
