As you step out of the boat into the warm Sirena Beach waters on low tides, you will start to experience the natural beauty on a coastal hike along the beach up to the river mouth of Sirena River, rest at the ranger station, continue on forest trails under tall trees guiding you back to the beach where you started.

Hike along the beach feeling the pristine raw nature of the waves hitting the sands and the wildlife waking up: birds from the sky dive into the sea to catch their fish, wild coatis digging the soil to find crabs, the hermit crabs hiding in their shells as you walk near them, the iguanas mingling in the tree tops and much more. At the Sirena River mouth admire the breathtaking forest landscape reflections and look out for some floating caimans and birds walking along the shore.

After a few hours of hiking and animal sighting, your guide will lead way to the ranger station, that is seemingly hidden in the middle of the park in a grassy area, here you can rest, use the bathroom, have lunch and look at the visitor center’s information on wildlife and the park.

Head into the forest trails where your guides will use their telescope to find wildlife high in the trees and allow the group to take turns peering into it for a magnified view of scarlet macaws, sloths, monkeys and other jungle wildlife.

The knowledgeable guides are familiar with the habits of wildlife in the park and have a knack for making sure the group is in the right place at the right time to spot elusive tapirs in some of their favorite napping spots.

The hike will then continue, with wildlife high and low; crocodiles resting near a riverbank and groups of wild hogs crossing in front of the path are possible.

You will return to the area where the boat dropped you off.

Note:

If you do not have lunch at the ranger station then the guide will set up a picnic lunch near where you were dropped off and provide water and juice to drink, after 30 minutes to an hour for lunch the boat will return and take the group back.
