Costa Rica's original bungee hotspot, located at the old Colorado River Bridge, has been in business since 1991. The bridge, at 265 feet high, is one of the tallest bungee destinations in the Americas.
An hour west of San Jose, the Colorado River bungee jump offers guests a 260-foot free-fall jump over a stunning river gorge. Fly headlong off the bridge, hurtling down toward the rocky river, before springing back, through a lush, tropical canyon.
Tropical Bungee is a Grecia-area tour approved by the North American Bungee Association (NABA). The first jump is $75, the second is an additional $45; these include a free T-shirt and video. Transportation's free and the company will pick you up anywhere in San Jose. Tours run twice a day with pick up times at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.
